What this retractable gate does
Moves room to room
The 4 mount sets stay on the wall, so one gate moves between up to 4 spots. Lift it off one set and lower it onto the next.
Drill + no-drill mounts included
Every gate comes with 2 drill mount sets and 2 no-drill mount sets, so you get both kinds. 4 corner guards are in the box too.
One-hand twist lock
Press and turn the cap to lock or unlock with one hand. The gate locks on both sides.
No bottom bar
Nothing crosses the floor, so there’s nothing to trip over. The floor lock prevents crawling underneath, which helps with childproofing. You get 1 with the 71″ gate and 2 with the 118″.

Reinforced mesh with support rods
Fiberglass support rods run through the mesh to keep it from sagging. The mesh is scratch-resistant, bite-resistant and weather-resistant, you can see clearly through it, and it retracts fully when you don’t need it.
How the one-hand twist lock works

The 118″ gate spans openings up to 118″ wide. 2 floor locks hold the bottom of the mesh down.

Outdoor gate for patios
The mesh is weather-resistant, so it works outdoors too. It can span a deck or balcony opening on rigid surfaces only, never across windows or in suspended positions. For a wide opening, choose the 118″ gate.

Fit and baseboard clearance
Baseboards change how the gate sits. The lower bracket moves up or down, so it clears your baseboard while the mesh stays low.

The lower bracket adjusts
The lower bracket moves up or down to clear your baseboard. Set it as close to the top of the baseboard as you can. Raising the whole gate would widen the gap at the floor, so move only the bracket.
Curved molding? Move the bracket up
The bracket needs a flat surface, and a flat baseboard can work. On curved or crown molding, move the bracket up to a flat spot on the wall above it for a secure install.
How low it sits
Mounted low, the gap between the floor and the mesh can be as little as about 1″. The exact gap depends on how high you mount it. The floor lock holds the bottom of the mesh down so pets and little ones can’t squeeze under it.
Drill and no-drill mounts, both included
Every gate comes with 2 drill mount sets and 2 no-drill mount sets, so you don’t have to choose. Both hold the gate the same way: lower it onto the mount until it latches, and press the release button (C2) and lift to take it off.
Where will the gate mount?
- Wood door frame or trimDrill mount. Use the PA4×25 screws. In hard wood, pre-drill holes no wider than 2.5 mm.

Fit the gate between rigid surfaces such as wood or a solid wall. Never mount it on a glass door, across a window, or in a suspended position.

Can I move the gate between rooms?
Yes. Every gate comes with 4 mount sets, 2 drill and 2 no-drill, and they stay on the wall at up to 4 spots. Press the release button (C2) and lift the gate off one set, then lower it onto another until it latches.
How do no-drill mounts work?
They stick to a flat, smooth wall with strong adhesive, and they’re best for hard-to-drill surfaces like tile. Clean and dry the wall, press each bracket in place for 30 seconds, then take the gate off and wait 24 hours before using it. After that, the gate latches onto them the same way it does on the drill mounts. The adhesive can pull paint off if you remove the mounts later.
Do I get drill mounts or no-drill mounts?
Both. You can use either kind or mix them from room to room.
Will it fit my baseboards?
The lower bracket moves up or down, so it works with any reasonable baseboard height and sits just above your baseboard while the mesh stays low. It needs a flat surface. A flat baseboard can work, and on curved or crown molding you move the bracket up to a flat spot on the wall above it. See Fit and baseboard clearance.
How do I measure for a retractable gate?
Measure the opening wall to wall at floor level. If it’s 71″ or less, choose the 71″ gate. If it’s over 71″, up to 118″, choose the 118″ gate.
Can I use this retractable baby gate for stairs?
Yes, at the bottom of the stairs only. Mount it on the lowest step, as the instruction manual shows. There’s no bar across the floor, so nothing sits at the foot of the stairs to trip over.
Do you make an extra-wide gate?
Yes. The 118″ gate spans openings up to 118″ wide, such as wide doorways, patios and garages, and it comes with 2 floor locks. If your opening is 71″ or less, the 71″ gate covers it. Find your size.

How do I lock and unlock it?
Press the cap and turn it clockwise to unlock. Pull the mesh across by the handle, hook both catches into the receiving brackets, then press and turn the cap counter-clockwise to lock. You can do it with one hand.
Can pets or babies crawl under it?
The gate has no bar across the floor. Instead, the floor lock holds the bottom of the mesh down to prevent crawling underneath. Mounted low, the gap under the mesh can be as little as about 1″, depending on how high you mount it.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. The mesh is weather-resistant, and the 118″ gate is sized for wide spaces like patios and garages. Mount it between rigid surfaces, such as wood or a solid wall.

Does the mesh sag?

Yes, the mesh is scratch-resistant and bite-resistant. Check the gate regularly for loose parts and a secure install, as the manual says.
Is it a dog gate or a baby gate?
Both. The same retractable gate keeps babies, toddlers, dogs and puppies safely contained. It is for children 6 to 24 months, and you should never leave a child unattended.
